Terms of Use

Field Literate is a learning platform built to help people understand difficult topics quickly and practically. It is an educational tool, not professional legal, medical, financial, or investment advice. The service is free to use. You can browse public material without an account, but an account is required if you want progress, saved settings, and other personalized features.

You must be at least 13 years old to use Field Literate. If you are under the legal age in your country to manage your own account, you should only use the platform with permission from a parent or legal guardian.

You are responsible for activity on your account, including keeping your sign-in credentials private. Do not share your account with other people. If you believe someone has accessed your account without permission, contact us as soon as possible.

We can suspend or remove accounts that abuse the platform, attempt to break platform security, scrape protected content, or interfere with other users. We will use reasonable judgment and we may act quickly when abuse is clear.

All course content on Field Literate is owned by Field Literate and protected by copyright. You may read and use it for personal learning, but you may not copy, republish, sell, redistribute, or train other products on it without written permission.

The software platform may include open-source components. That does not make the course content open-source. Platform code licensing and content rights are separate.

Membership is optional. Membership currently removes ads and unlocks additional themes. Payment processing is handled through Stripe. Cancellation stops future billing immediately, and your paid access continues until the end of your current billing period.

We do not automatically refund partial billing periods. If there is a real billing problem such as an accidental duplicate charge, contact us and we will review it case by case.

Field Literate is provided as-is, without guarantees that the platform will always be available, error-free, or suitable for every specific use case. We work to keep it reliable, but no online service is perfect.

We are not responsible for decisions you make based on course material. You are responsible for validating ideas and taking appropriate professional advice when needed.

We may update these terms over time. If changes are significant, we will notify users by email. Continued use of Field Literate after updated terms are published means you accept the updated terms.
